Maxime Acker expresses his vision of the society by using the allegory through the prism of childhood and animality. His expressed dominant ideas are the concern and the pessimism.
The artist works since 2015 on a series of wooden sculptures of plywood boards that he sticks one by one, after having cut them by means of a numerically controlled machine. It is a very technical process which requires a big skill.
The subjects are animals and children.
In the previous series of sculptures, realized in welde stalk of bronze, steel or aluminum, Maxime Acker was particularly interested in animals.
Maxime Acker was born in 1975
He lives and works in Gérardmer (Vosges - France)
